About Us:

Downtown Girl and Uptown Girl are located in Montgomery's historic Heritage District.

Downtown Girl is in the Snider House

Downtown Girl is located in the Snider House c1817.  This frame saltbox was first owned and occupied by Cornelius Snider, one of the original founders of Montgomery. Along with other townsmen, he established a grist mill which stood at the southwest corner of Main and Cooper Roads. The saltbox style is an unusual example of New England building tradition in southwest Ohio, exhibiting early construction techniques and details used by the settlers. The fact that these structures remain in this community, that has developed so rapidly since 1950, is remarkable.

Uptown Girl is in The Weller House

You'll find Uptown Girl in the Weller House c. 1807 next door.  An excellent example of early saltbox architecture is represented in the Weller House. This form of architecture got its name from salt boxes that used to sit on iron kitchen stoves. The house was first owned by Lodowich Weller, one of the original founders of Montgomery. The Weller House is thought to be one of the oldest existing structures in Montgomery. It remained a private residence until 1973.

There's plenty of convenient free off-street parking at both locations.
